ancient astronaut theory

How valid do you think the ancient astronaut theory is? What arguments do you have for – against?
Scientists refuted this nonsense long ago. A fraud created to make money selling books to gullible people. There is no real evidence in the books. Erich Van Daniken published "Chariots of the Gods "in 1969 and also wrote sequels. It just formed a bold idea and then tried to find data that support seemed to ignore many things that do not. That is absolutely contrary to the ways of science and logic. List some ancient art works and said that the figures in them look like astronauts. You can say all the more reason why not. It is said that ancient humans could not have built the pyramids of Egypt, etc., but that is an insult to human beings. He says that some works can only be viewed from on high above them. That makes no sense. Even ancient people had a great ability to do things. Van Daniken was in jail several times for theft and fraud, but found a legal way to scam people, that is, writing books of nonsense absurd. The closest planet outside our solar system is orbiting the star Epsilon Eridani, and best rockets have 7200 years to go there. The theory of relativity shows that spacecraft can not travel fast enough to make the trip is less than 210 years. Real science shows foreign ET can not come here, and Van Daniken has no valid arguments for their ridiculous ideas, so the logical conclusion is obvious, namely, "Ancient Astronauts" is foolish and naive lie.
